Between Pinterest and searches online for recipes, our little blog has exploded into something I could never have dreamed of. Today, as I sat down to write this post, I found that we had hit 100,000 views.<br />

The lack of posting over here has not been for nothing. We've been busy! One of the reasons for our slower posting schedule is we were getting ready for Carrie's baby shower!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hUSsfeTGAP8/Uu5lUEEHxsI/AAAAAAAAIEw/iAOgZNmJyeE/s1600/DSC05791.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hUSsfeTGAP8/Uu5lUEEHxsI/AAAAAAAAIEw/iAOgZNmJyeE/s1600/DSC05791.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My sister in law, Amanda made these adorable centerpieces. Love how she incorporated a thank you in them too! So darling!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dxt_0JAZqmQ/Uu5lUZx00KI/AAAAAAAAIE0/kH0TFQcYpjo/s1600/DSC05793.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dxt_0JAZqmQ/Uu5lUZx00KI/AAAAAAAAIE0/kH0TFQcYpjo/s1600/DSC05793.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But this diaper carriage blew us all away - how darling is this?! Amanda included everything Carrie loves in it, frogs, purple, pink and all things adorable. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-exhQTl5P3Jc/Uu5lUbp2hRI/AAAAAAAAIE4/CSZt8BJF4jM/s1600/DSC05798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-exhQTl5P3Jc/Uu5lUbp2hRI/AAAAAAAAIE4/CSZt8BJF4jM/s1600/DSC05798.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did the clothesline to this lovely set up. Isn't everything all put together just lovely? I thought it turned out really, really cute. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R_T8s4c22LY/Uu5lYCjHobI/AAAAAAAAIFI/hTwPczhiGWI/s1600/DSC05799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R_T8s4c22LY/Uu5lYCjHobI/AAAAAAAAIFI/hTwPczhiGWI/s1600/DSC05799.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are the favors that I made and put together. We didn't want to do just one of anything, so we did a little of everything, Lipsticks, lip gloss, nail polish, and hand sanitizers! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l-Bs4p2vMAg/Uu5lYY7TzeI/AAAAAAAAIFM/P9Aqv4BMmhM/s1600/DSC05804.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-l-Bs4p2vMAg/Uu5lYY7TzeI/AAAAAAAAIFM/P9Aqv4BMmhM/s1600/DSC05804.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My mother in law ordered the cake, isn't it cute?<br />Not just that, but it was TASTY. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uO_9X57U-1s/Uu5lYl8shFI/AAAAAAAAIFQ/hLifeqFpmiE/s1600/DSC05808.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uO_9X57U-1s/Uu5lYl8shFI/AAAAAAAAIFQ/hLifeqFpmiE/s1600/DSC05808.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Us Workman's cannot have a normal party without a chicken salad sandwich.<br />Also, chips are a must. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OaTuvFnyK1w/Uu5lbu-qD4I/AAAAAAAAIFg/tiAlEsrhNiY/s1600/DSC05846.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OaTuvFnyK1w/Uu5lbu-qD4I/AAAAAAAAIFg/tiAlEsrhNiY/s1600/DSC05846.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When it came to clothes and presents, this little girl will have plenty to wear!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-76Lx5rf2-DY/Uu5lcCFV3CI/AAAAAAAAIFk/04zqdJYAbRc/s1600/DSC05866.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-76Lx5rf2-DY/Uu5lcCFV3CI/AAAAAAAAIFk/04zqdJYAbRc/s1600/DSC05866.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And everything she got was simply adorable.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vbCE_ntD5pA/Uu5lcf4aqiI/AAAAAAAAIFo/xwNh9Bbsrps/s1600/DSC05873.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vbCE_ntD5pA/Uu5lcf4aqiI/AAAAAAAAIFo/xwNh9Bbsrps/s1600/DSC05873.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Shameless Carrie, her mom gave her her blessing gown and her old blankie...well whats left of it.<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was a beautiful baby shower and a fun night. It was so great being able to see family and friends and give Carrie and baby Dezarae the love they deserve as they start this new adventure in their lives. We love you Aunt Carebear! </div>

I hate to admit that I tried a recipe seen on Facebook. We all know what that means...that it was kidnapped from a blogger somewhere. I did try this recipe out, and we love it, so if anyone knows the original author, could you please message me? I want to link to them and thank them for the recipe. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We put this dinner together after a long day at work, which makes the task of cooking dinner that much more daunting. I was surprised to see how easy it was to make! (And inexpensive!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c54zN4oVAFY/Ut2zcCY9rCI/AAAAAAAAICs/NQZyMdzOgbU/s1600/DSC05521.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c54zN4oVAFY/Ut2zcCY9rCI/AAAAAAAAICs/NQZyMdzOgbU/s1600/DSC05521.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:<br />1 can cream of chicken soup<br />1 canister of Pillsbury Grands rolls<br />1 can Libbys mixed veggies<br />1/2 cup cheese (top top it all off with)<br />1 chicken breast, cooked and chopped</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-39pV5eJMViE/Ut2zcRzuSlI/AAAAAAAAICw/eUK4dPtd-8M/s1600/DSC05523.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-39pV5eJMViE/Ut2zcRzuSlI/AAAAAAAAICw/eUK4dPtd-8M/s1600/DSC05523.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1. Open up your Grands container and roll each roll out flat. Place each one into the slot of a greased muffin tin, pressing it flat and creating as much of a cave as possible inside of it.<br />2. Cook your chicken breast, and chop it into cubes. Place into a bowl, and mix with veggies and cream of chicken soup, stir well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3. Add mixture into each dough cave, and top with cheese.<br />4. Bake according to directions on the Grands container, and wait a few moments after removing from oven to remove from tin (doing so while its hot will result in a MESS).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Serve and enjoy!</div>

(I'm a terrible mom)According to the world, I am my worst nightmare.<br />The thing is, the world doesn't see what is going on, and the end result and the judgement, is unbelievable.<br />According to the world, I am a terrible mom.<br /><br />
__ __ __<br />
<br />
According to the lady at Dollar Tree, I'm raising a brat.<br />
<br />
She said this because when she entered the store my son was starting to get fussy. She had absolutely zero idea that he and I had been to five different stores, over the course of three hours, with little to no break and a snack he refused to eat still in the car. After much begging and trying to be a good mommy, I finally gave in and offered him a board book in exchange for him behaving himself.<br />
<br />
She saw this and felt the need to inform me that I am raising a brat while we waited in line to check out.<br />
<br />
What she didn't see, or hear, for that matter, was my son telling me "thank you", very excitedly as I handed it to him. She didn't see him tell everyone in the store how happy he was to have a new book. She didn't hear him thank the lady at the check-out when she handed the book back to him after scanning it. She didn't see any of the manners, or the sweet moment when we were leaving, and I told him I was frustrated with him being grumpy, how he threw his arms around my neck and told me "sorry, mommy."<br />
<br />
Instead, she saw me raising a brat.<br />
___ ___ ___<br />
<br />
According to a friend on facebook, I'm a bad parent.<br />
<br />
This was said because she witnessed a mom hand over her phone to her kids and let them watch videos on it during a meal at a restaurant. The kids were perfectly quiet and didn't disturb a soul, and even ate all their food when it came. I defended that action, because honestly, at one point or another, you do it to survive wherever you are.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nf7KcjJM3S0/UubQQfK1mnI/AAAAAAAAIEY/R5KW_Ni9vsU/s1600/545976_10151806610266792_1269086512_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nf7KcjJM3S0/UubQQfK1mnI/AAAAAAAAIEY/R5KW_Ni9vsU/s1600/545976_10151806610266792_1269086512_n.jpg" height="180" width="320" /></a>We've done it at Wal-Mart, when the lines are long, I have coupons and ad-matches, and when the scanners are broken. Mommy and daddy, exhausted, tired, and trying not to lose it, hand over their phone and set it up so he can watch songs from Frozen. I've done it when I've had to take him with me to the doctors office. The doctor is an hour behind, Little dude is past naptime, and you're nerves are shot as you finally give in an set it up to Baby Einstein.<br />
<br />
But instead of appreciating the silence, instead of being thankful the child in front of you isn't having a complete meltdown, instead of understanding; we're bad parents.<br />
<br />
They don't even see the fact that it's on an educational video.<br />
___ ___ ___<br />
<br />
According to family, I'm too hard on my son.<br />
<br />
Little Dude is an incredible boy. He loves to help and has the biggest heart. He WANTS to help, and if I don't give him ways to help, he "helps" in his own ways that are disastrous. They see me forcing my toddler to work, when in reality, he wants to be busy and productive.<br />
<br />
They see me giving him rags with dish soap on them, and see him taking to the walls and to the kitchen, wiping everything down for me. They see him helping me make dinner, see him trying to help me vacuum, see him helping me get the mail, see him trying to help me sweep the floors. They see a toddler being turned into Cinderella.<br />
<br />
What they don't see is the toddler at my feet in the kitchen, hugging my legs and screaming "Mommy! I help!" and this act continuing until I put his apron on and set up his stool. What they don't see is the toddler shoving me out of the way whenever the vacuum turns on so he can be the one to do it. What they don't see is the kid who actually will clean up his toys when asked, and who will sing and dance while we work.<br />
<br />
Instead, they see me being "too hard" on my son.<br />
___ ___ ___<br />
<br />
According to the mommy blogger community, I don't do enough for my toddler. I'm holding him back.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6SdG_GlciEA/UubQY5AIARI/AAAAAAAAIEk/bNyKx9zlLGY/s1600/72872_10151338004046792_1982629435_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6SdG_GlciEA/UubQY5AIARI/AAAAAAAAIEk/bNyKx9zlLGY/s1600/72872_10151338004046792_1982629435_n.jpg" height="317" width="320" /></a></div>
I don't post every activity on Instagram. I don't post everything we do on the blog. I don't "Dear Diary" our lives like some mommy bloggers tend to do. That in turn is being seen as laziness as a mother, and apparently I do not do enough to keep his brain going and growing.<br />
<br />
They don't see the daily coloring time we do. They don't see all the books we read. They don't see the trips to the park, or the dancing we do. They don't see how I set up a workout routine at home that my son and I can both do, to encourage hand-eye coordination. They don't see the snuggles, and the educational videos about animals. They don't see the hours spent on the floor playing with trucks, or the Pinterest board full of ideas that we are always working on.<br />
<br />
I'm not like them. I don't tell everyone everything.<br />
<br />
So instead, they see a complacent mom who doesn't do anything for her kid.<br />___ ___ ___<br />
<br />
It's amazing, how hard we all fight for us to quit being so nasty to each other, yet this is just a 36 hour period in my life. There are so many other moments that I could describe in my day that makes me want to lose my mind at other <i>people</i>, other <i>women</i>, and other <i>mommies</i>, that are so out of line.<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Like the bitch who laid on her horn while my son and I were crossing the street. In a crosswalk. And we had the right of way. She yelled at me because I was letting him walk and it "took too damn long." </li>
<li>Or the rude lady at the store who got upset because my son was mimicking mommy and was looking through the clothing rack. No clothing was damaged, he was barely touching it, yet she was nasty with us.</li>
<li>Like the jerks who openly comment on us allowing our son to sing when we are out in public. It's twinkle, twinkle Little Star, you d-bag, get over it. </li>
<li>Or the numerous amount of people who give us dirty looks when my son happily smiles at them and says "Hey! How are you?" He's being polite, yet they can not help encourage the good behaviors or manners. </li>
</ul>
<div>
According to the world, I can do everything right, and it is still absolutely wrong. I can pay all the attention in the world to my son, I can work hard to make sure he knows how to act in public, I can be the best mom I can possibly be, and I will still be a terrible mom. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I guess I'll have to deal with that title, it could certainly be worse. </div>

This is a really easy recipe that I just threw together one evening. I had called Bubba and asked him what he wanted for dinner. His response was, "a delicious, pasta...something."<br />Challenge accepted.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Both of my boys ate seconds and thirds of this dish. It freezes really well and can be converted into lots of other dishes if you simply switch out the broccoli. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pfWWWyDbPgE/Utyh8e7gKcI/AAAAAAAAICY/0teCukTZ2vw/s1600/DSC05605.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pfWWWyDbPgE/Utyh8e7gKcI/AAAAAAAAICY/0teCukTZ2vw/s1600/DSC05605.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:<br />2 chicken breasts<br />1 packet of Italian Seasoning<br />1 bag frozen broccoli<br />1 box noodles<br />1 can cream of chicken soup</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1-2 cups of cheese</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XWOaIJ7RxuA/Utyh8co_BmI/AAAAAAAAICU/kDnzAfWpjzw/s1600/DSC05607.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XWOaIJ7RxuA/Utyh8co_BmI/AAAAAAAAICU/kDnzAfWpjzw/s1600/DSC05607.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1. Start off your dish by getting the noodles started (boil them in water) and placing the chicken on the stovetop to cook. Cover both chicken breasts in about 1/2 a packet of seasoning. Set the other half aside.<br />2. In a large baking dish, prep it with non-stick spray. Add the can of cream of chicken soup, and the other half of the seasoning. Set aside.<br />3. Once the noodles are boiled, begin to cook the broccoli on the stovetop. Add the noodles to the baking dish and stir it in with the sauce. Once the broccoli is finished cooking, add it as well.<br />5. The chicken breasts should finish last, and once finished cooking, cut into small cubes of chicken. After adding that last ingredient to the baking dish, top with 1-2 cups of cheese and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Serve and Enjoy!</div>

What You'll Need:<br />2 cups pancake mix<br />1 cup milk<br />2 eggs<br />Oil for frying<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Topping suggestions:<br />Powdered Sugar<br />Chocolate Syrup/ Strawberry Syrup<br />Fresh Fruit</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hLAxAg2arkM/UtycybgScSI/AAAAAAAAIB8/4Dqj8hw8Cnw/s1600/DSC05613.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hLAxAg2arkM/UtycybgScSI/AAAAAAAAIB8/4Dqj8hw8Cnw/s1600/DSC05613.JPG" height="265" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to Make it:<br />1. In a bowl, mix all your ingredients with a whisk. Set aside.<br />2. In a saucepan, add about one inch of oil and set to medium heat.<br />3. Using an empty container (ketchup bottle for example) or an icing container (I used one from a $5 Betty Crocker Icing Set and it worked PERFECT), put batter into the container. Top with an easy squeeze tip.<br />4. Once the oil is heated and your container is full, begin to squirt it into the pan, creating a zig-zag pattern. You'll want it touching as much as possible, or else it will fall apart when you flip it.<br />5. Cook for about 60-90 seconds (or until golden brown) and then flip and cook again. Remove from oil and set onto a plate lined with paper towels or napkins.<br />6. Add your toppings, and serve while warm.<br /><br />Enjoy!</div>

My husband has the biggest sweet tooth of anyone that I know. And when it strikes...theres no going back.</div>
The other day he informed me that he had a sweet tooth. I wanted to surprise him, so I took to the kitchen in the hopes of fulfilling the craving.<br />
According to him, these bad boys really did the trick.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cMdjalBGdw0/UtS39QgOGkI/AAAAAAAAIAk/ilk99_17oek/s1600/DSC05555.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cMdjalBGdw0/UtS39QgOGkI/AAAAAAAAIAk/ilk99_17oek/s400/DSC05555.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 box Brownie Mix (yeah, we keep it classy here) & all it entails (eggs, oil, water)</div>
1 box Reese Pieces<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2-3 heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MBoHqMjftM4/UtS39cLb-iI/AAAAAAAAIAo/KLQ_pO94kmA/s1600/DSC05560.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MBoHqMjftM4/UtS39cLb-iI/AAAAAAAAIAo/KLQ_pO94kmA/s400/DSC05560.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to make it:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1. Make brownie mix as instructed on the box. Add 1/2 box of Reeses Pieces.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2. Prepare baking dish by spraying with cooking spray, and preheat the oven.</div>
3. Add 1/2 the brownie batter to the baking dish.<br />
4. Add your heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter into the brownie mix, then using a spatula, spread it over the brownie mix. (If you're having trouble getting it to spread, place the baking dish on top of the oven as its heating up. The heat from the oven will warm it and help it spread).<br />
5. Add the other half of the brownie mix to the top, spread it so that it is even and then top with more Reeses Pieces.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This recipe was entirely experimental. I had some foods I needed to use up and I wanted to try an all original recipe that I had never even considered before. Surprisingly, this turned out great! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rkW3h_zaBjM/UtSz-AIPd0I/AAAAAAAAIAU/r8zIQHtWiUI/s1600/DSC05533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rkW3h_zaBjM/UtSz-AIPd0I/AAAAAAAAIAU/r8zIQHtWiUI/s400/DSC05533.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2-3 chicken breasts, frozen</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/2 jar salsa (I used homemade salsa, that was chunkier)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1/4 jar of "super spicy" salsa (also homemade)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 mango</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 cup water</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kTtM_dPv-ro/UtSz-HnhNHI/AAAAAAAAIAQ/K_VJYZOj93Y/s1600/DSC05537.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kTtM_dPv-ro/UtSz-HnhNHI/AAAAAAAAIAQ/K_VJYZOj93Y/s400/DSC05537.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. In a crockpot, add all your ingredients. Dice mango before adding it to the mixture.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Cook on low for about 6-8 hours. Stir occasionally, and poke chicken with a fork during the cooking process to allow chicken to get moist and juicy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3. Let sit for 20-30 mins on "keep warm", to allow the fruit juice to sweeten and to thicken.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. Serve and enjoy!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XHbwnIIzcTA/UtSz97l8AyI/AAAAAAAAIAM/auv1BOPzakI/s1600/DSC05547.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XHbwnIIzcTA/UtSz97l8AyI/AAAAAAAAIAM/auv1BOPzakI/s400/DSC05547.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Other Serving suggestions:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We ate it as was with chips. Little Dude loved it that way, but we decided if we were to ever make it again, we'd serve it on top of a salad or with other fresh food items, like green beans or oranges for a real flavor burst.</div>

I couldn't not post it...this is fantastic.<br />It's an awkward family photo of mani mondays.<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
BTW, this color is a beautiful color by Revlon. No idea what color it is, half the label is missing, including the color on the bottom.<br />Thats what you get for shopping at Wal-Mart. </div>

Over the weekend we had a football Sunday when Green Bay played the 49ers. My husband had requested football food in honor of this game, so I took to the kitchen, making some of our favorites: oven baked fries, chipotle raspberry wings, and then, when discovering an unopened jar of pickles, decided to make fried pickles.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you've never had them before you may not like them. The first time I had them they were similar to this, and every time after it they were terrible. I'll tell you what makes them disgusting: corn meal or corn starch. Keep the corn away from this recipe kids. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8daVrkDcAuQ/UtARrXqnpqI/AAAAAAAAH9k/spYEtt_p1iA/s1600/DSC05480.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8daVrkDcAuQ/UtARrXqnpqI/AAAAAAAAH9k/spYEtt_p1iA/s1600/DSC05480.JPG" height="212" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you will need:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 egg</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 cup flour</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 cup beer (I used Pabst)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pickle Chips - I did both sweet and dill and they were great!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Oil for frying</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9i8JT6tfa1k/UtARrIqtxUI/AAAAAAAAH9g/PZbKkNwIixE/s1600/DSC05484.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9i8JT6tfa1k/UtARrIqtxUI/AAAAAAAAH9g/PZbKkNwIixE/s1600/DSC05484.JPG" height="212" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1. Mix all your ingredients into a bowl. The beer will cause the batter to fizz for some time, so set aside, wait for fizz to dissolve and then stir some more. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2. Remove your pickles from the jar and start to pat them dry using a paper towel. Set aside until batter is mixed well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
3. In a skillet pour some oil in and start to heat it up- medium heat works best. It will take a few moments to heat up, so you can dry more pickles at this time.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
4. You'll need to create your own routine here to limit the mess - You'll dip a pickle into the batter, then drop it into the oil. Continue, doing about 5 pickles at a time. It'll take about two minutes for one side to cook.<br />5. Flip pickles and let cook for a few more moments. Prepare a plate with paper towels and once cooked, transfer pickles onto the plate. Repeat until all pickles are cooked.<br />6. Let cool and serve with dill ranch sauce or serve plain, which is just as delicious.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Enjoy!</div>

I always love makeup and beauty bags during holiday seasons. December's bag was no different! Come see!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
English Laundry Signature scents<br />The only thing I don't like about these is that they leaked in transit and the whole bag smelled like it. A little bit of perfume isn't bad...but a half a bottle leaked? Yeah, thats stinky. Either way, seperated from the bag, they smell light, and fantastic. </div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
JCat - the BIG Lip Pencil<br />In the last few month's I've gotten an insane amount of lip crayons, pencils, and deep red lipsticks. I was bummed at first to see another lip pencil in my bag, until I tried it out and realized it wasn't a deep red, but a lighter, prettier red! I was so excited to wear it and it has been my holiday go-to look since!</div>

I have a co-worker who makes the BEST desserts in the world. She's also probably the skinniest person I know, which makes her dessert making quite ironic. She always knows which recipes are best for cookies, cakes and brownies, and when she brings some into work it gets chaotic because everyone knows, she makes the best. When I asked for her cookie recipe, I wasn't entirely sure she'd hand it over, but sure enough she did! Here it is folks, the best chocolate cookies in the world!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oi8rN1p_PKk/UriXJHa2NnI/AAAAAAAAH1A/IC6i3B_SDLg/s1600/DSC05274.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oi8rN1p_PKk/UriXJHa2NnI/AAAAAAAAH1A/IC6i3B_SDLg/s400/DSC05274.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:<br />8 oz semi sweet chocolate - chopped<br />4 tbs unsalted butter<br />2/3 cups all purpose flour, spooned and leveled<br />1/2 teaspoon baking powder<br />1/2 teaspoon salt<br />2 large eggs<br />3/4 cup packed light brown sugar<br />1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br />1 package semi sweet chocolate chunks</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:<br />1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a microwave safe bowl, mix chopped chocolate and butter, 20 seconds at a time, stirring in between until almost melted. In a seperate bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.<br />2. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, brown sugar and vanilla on high speed until light and fluffy. Reduce speed and mix in melted chocolate. Then, add flour mixture. Finally add in the chocolate chunks.<br />3. Drop quarter sized amounts of dough onto baking sheets. Bake, until cookies are shiny and crackly (about 12 minutes, flipping halfway though), transfer to cooling racks to cool seperately. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HV4zxwSIHls/UriXJDB47MI/AAAAAAAAH1E/Eex6ZV_tesQ/s1600/DSC05277.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HV4zxwSIHls/UriXJDB47MI/AAAAAAAAH1E/Eex6ZV_tesQ/s400/DSC05277.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This will make about 17 cookies...and you'll only share about three of them.<br />Serve and enjoy!</div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MFtlEY6bTsw/Urhy-874lXI/AAAAAAAAHz8/P6sKbWo4nuA/s1600/DSC05369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MFtlEY6bTsw/Urhy-874lXI/AAAAAAAAHz8/P6sKbWo4nuA/s400/DSC05369.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had originally seen this as a pin on Pinterest, but it had no link to it. Bummed, I took to the internet to find out how to make these...after all, I had been given a few for the holidays and we need to use them up before they go bad. Come to find out, broiled grapefruit is very popular in the south, and very easy to make.<br />Here's how.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oSzplTDC2g8/Urhy-1xOR7I/AAAAAAAAHz4/9WDx5iz5EeU/s1600/DSC05374.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oSzplTDC2g8/Urhy-1xOR7I/AAAAAAAAHz4/9WDx5iz5EeU/s400/DSC05374.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cut your grapefruit in half (I did fourths because I was sharing with a toddler). Cover each half in 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. Place in the oven on broil and cook for 3-6 minutes.<br />Let cool, serve, and enjoy!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Nothing is better than a super-easy crockpot recipe! When everything else is hectic (or when holiday baking takes over your oven!), this recipe is great, plus its tasty! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:<br />3 cups almonds<br />1 1/2 cup sugar<br />1 1/2 cup brown sugar<br />2 tsp vanilla<br />1/4 c water</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:<br />In a crockpot, mix everything except for the water. Cook on low for 3 hours, stirring every 20 minutes. At the start of hour 4 add the water, stir well and cook for one more hour.<br />Remove from crockpot, lay out on a baking sheet and let cool. Break up any clumps or clusters that may form and enjoy!</div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6teKg7W9wf8/UrhpeQ4gHBI/AAAAAAAAHzE/PJN16Q3UQI8/s1600/DSC05271.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6teKg7W9wf8/UrhpeQ4gHBI/AAAAAAAAHzE/PJN16Q3UQI8/s400/DSC05271.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, here's the backstory. In the process of planning for a cookie exchange for a Christmas party, I realized that I had put all my eggs in one basket that a stellar cookie recipe from a co-worker would make it to my home in time. Frantic, I whipped up this recipe.</div>
<br />
Here's what you need:<br />
2 rolls pillsbury sugar cookie dough<br />
2-4 drops red food coloring<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
LOTS of sprinkles</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ezR1SIFoFVY/UrhpeBSlniI/AAAAAAAAHzA/YvVBoraC_cc/s1600/DSC05273.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ezR1SIFoFVY/UrhpeBSlniI/AAAAAAAAHzA/YvVBoraC_cc/s400/DSC05273.JPG" width="265" /></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:<br />
Add food coloring and cookie dough to a bowl and mix well. Once mixed, lay out cookies on a cookie sheet and preheat the oven. Now, cover your cookies in as many sprinkles as possible!<br />
Let cool on a cooling rack, serve and enjoy your cheater cookies! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(No one has to know they're not homemade!)</div>

Wow! What a mouthful this recipe is.<br />With a popular as the Doritos Crockpot Chicken recipes are, I picked up a few new flavors of Doritos to try out the recipes. This one is not going to disappoint you, to say the least! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AtFxNnhqvfw/Uq3m1OoLnMI/AAAAAAAAHXg/VjnguLwl7Y0/s1600/DSC05158.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AtFxNnhqvfw/Uq3m1OoLnMI/AAAAAAAAHXg/VjnguLwl7Y0/s400/DSC05158.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We found Doritos Dinamita Chile Limon at NPS. I hadn't seen them at any of our local grocery stores, but my husband said that his work friends buy them at the Asian specialty stores or the Mexican grocery stores. I bought a 4oz bag, we really didn't need more than that. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:<br />2-3 chicken breasts (frozen)<br />2 cans cream of chicken soup<br />1 brick of cream cheese<br />1 handful of crushed Doritos</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
a "squirt" of lime juice (optional)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vUuDz8Mgde4/Uq3m01qSt0I/AAAAAAAAHXc/tSpxt9zr6LQ/s1600/DSC05162.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vUuDz8Mgde4/Uq3m01qSt0I/AAAAAAAAHXc/tSpxt9zr6LQ/s400/DSC05162.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:<br />Mix all the ingredients in the crockpot, and cook on low for 6-8 hours (or high for 3-4 hours). <br />Stir occasionally, mixing in more Doritos as desired.<br />Once finished, place a layer of Doritos in the bottom of the bowl. Add mixture, then top with more crushed Doritos. Serve while still warm and enjoy!</div>

This last weekend we went to Leatherbys to celebrate my cousins 18th birthday. If you're unfamiliar with this place, it is the best ice cream parlor yet. The portions are HUGE, making it a fun place to take families and kiddos alike. Bubba and I ordered a banana split for the family to split, and little dude LOVED it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Such focus! Such will to get to the ice cream!</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sweet, sweet success!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The time it takes from the ice cream to the mouth is just too long!</div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BM2YG57ajcg/Uq3csaub4NI/AAAAAAAAHWI/UH1lnmJwJBg/s1600/DSC05191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BM2YG57ajcg/Uq3csaub4NI/AAAAAAAAHWI/UH1lnmJwJBg/s400/DSC05191.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love getting my Birchbox every month. There is something so wonderful about getting a box, full of girly, makeup and beauty supplies each month that really just tickles my fancy. Not to mention how speedy their shipping is! I love always getting it earlier than I expect it to!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f8D4rcQXu-c/Uq3csUNwaiI/AAAAAAAAHWE/blFbJKoYoWE/s1600/DSC05195.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-f8D4rcQXu-c/Uq3csUNwaiI/AAAAAAAAHWE/blFbJKoYoWE/s400/DSC05195.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Atelier Cologne</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Most fragrances I've gotten in boxes are really strong and almost over powering, making it vital to use a small amount. I absolutely love this scent, because it is so soft, almost like baby powder and is far from overpowering. I really like this scent and will be wearing it to work this week, no doubt!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V0ZVRUbsTnU/Uq3csBJ5BmI/AAAAAAAAHWA/pAs6H7y68Lk/s1600/DSC05197.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V0ZVRUbsTnU/Uq3csBJ5BmI/AAAAAAAAHWA/pAs6H7y68Lk/s400/DSC05197.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Popcorn Pop Chocolate</div>
This is one of the best, strangest things I have yet to taste. You read the label, thinking its going to taste like chocolate covered popcorn. Some people love it (that'd be me), some people don't (that'd be Bubba). You open the package to see a chocolate, seemingly harmless, in a little perfect oval shape. Take a bite and suddenly, popcorn flavored pop rocks are going off in your mouth while the chocolate dissolves!<br />
While it throws you off, its delicious, really.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-150rSUMfQuQ/Uq3cuDKUdSI/AAAAAAAAHWY/ICgHv6dzm0U/s1600/DSC05201.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-150rSUMfQuQ/Uq3cuDKUdSI/AAAAAAAAHWY/ICgHv6dzm0U/s400/DSC05201.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hair spray</div>
I am always in need of a good hair spray, and this one did not disappoint. While it has quite the strong scent, it holds every little hair in place, goes on smooth and stays put for hours! Another product I will be using for work, when the last thing I need is messy fly-aways!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a3QqYoitc_s/Uq3cvYOYNaI/AAAAAAAAHWc/rB7bmPCqNdE/s1600/DSC05205.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a3QqYoitc_s/Uq3cvYOYNaI/AAAAAAAAHWc/rB7bmPCqNdE/s400/DSC05205.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lait-Creme Concentre</div>
Let's start off by saying this. The instructions on the back say that it was tested under strict supervision of a dermatologist. Maybe I'm the only one who was afraid by that, but I was worried about what I was testing out. Then, when you opened it, it reminded me of a medication you get from a doctors office, you had to pierce it open. That being said, I tested out this cream on my hands and LOVE it. The weather here has been so cold and dry, and harsh and I love how smooth and soft my hands feel now! Trust me, I will be using this questionable cream much more in the future.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1AuZnm2ysdU/Uq3cvfNu7sI/AAAAAAAAHWk/vywJOlEzUYg/s1600/DSC05210.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1AuZnm2ysdU/Uq3cvfNu7sI/AAAAAAAAHWk/vywJOlEzUYg/s400/DSC05210.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Laqa&Co Lil' Lip Crayon</div>
I really liked this crayon, as you can tell by my photo on <a href="http://instagram.com/p/h8wsirPFN4/">Instagram</a>. Other reds were just way too red, while this one maintained the color and was still subtle enough for me to wear it and not feel like a Russian hooker. I love it and cannot wait to wear it during Christmas parties!<br />

<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AxLGGyyt8mc/UqUjmVl5d3I/AAAAAAAAHVk/QAUEbG0JJzk/s1600/DSC05154.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AxLGGyyt8mc/UqUjmVl5d3I/AAAAAAAAHVk/QAUEbG0JJzk/s400/DSC05154.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a tale of me tackling one of my greatest dessert achievements to date.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But first, the prologue.<br />One night, as a kid, I was given the task of making fudge from a kids cookbook as a treat for family home evening. I showed my mom the recipe, she approved, and I got to work in the kitchen.<br />Hours later, we sat down to eat and discovered I somehow (heaven knows how, we've all checked and double checked) made ice cream instead of fudge. And whats worse, it was disgusting.<br />So I've steered clear of fudge until now.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then, on a lazy Saturday morning, I was scrolling through my facebook feed when a shared post from a friend was there, staring at me, screaming at me to try this recipe.<br />It's the Pioneer Woman's recipe. You just don't say no to a Ree Drummond recipe.<br />It even says so in the bible. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So, I took to the kitchen and tried this fudge out...and boy is it good!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What you'll need:<br />3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips<br />1 can sweetened condensed milk</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
1 candy cane - crushed</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rPv3oYCqHXE/UqUjlhCu3wI/AAAAAAAAHVc/ZZjTaHXWMa8/s1600/DSC05155.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rPv3oYCqHXE/UqUjlhCu3wI/AAAAAAAAHVc/ZZjTaHXWMa8/s400/DSC05155.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
How to do it:<br />1. On the stove top, add condensed milk and chocolate chips. On low heat, begin to mix, and stir until it is well blended. (This should take about 10 minutes or so).<br />2. In an 8 x 8 baking dish, line with foil and spray foil with cooking spray. Once fudge is mixed well with no lumps and is smooth, pour into baking dish. Top with crushed peppermint.<br />3. Let cool in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours, then remove from baking dish and cut into squares.<br />Serve and enjoy!</div>

A few months ago we got Bubba subscription to Birchbox Man. I originally suggested it because I was the only one ever getting any fun mail, while he got all the bills. I also knew that he didn't really try new products or items from his usual, body wash, shampoo and deodorant. Each month he enjoys it more and more, watches the previews, gets involved in the comments/message boards, and gets excited to test new products. Here's this month's haul with Bubba's review of it:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7NBb706dy_0/UqUgUP9IVaI/AAAAAAAAHUs/u1nuhgD_X3s/s1600/DSC05143.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7NBb706dy_0/UqUgUP9IVaI/AAAAAAAAHUs/u1nuhgD_X3s/s320/DSC05143.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />Proraso: Shaving Cream - $10<br />This felt like I was using a barbershop cream, and I liked it. It felt more like a lotion than a cream.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CjtOZFMSrf4/UqUgUzQwb2I/AAAAAAAAHUw/5g10wDABb8Q/s1600/DSC05147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CjtOZFMSrf4/UqUgUzQwb2I/AAAAAAAAHUw/5g10wDABb8Q/s320/DSC05147.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Proraso: Aftershave - $16</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've never used aftershave before, so using this product was a neat experience. It did burn, but kept my skin moisturized. It was great that it matched the shaving cream, it was similar like a lotion and felt great!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u-OkE0J23JY/UqUgTw2umjI/AAAAAAAAHUo/jwkmFQTCIH8/s1600/DSC05144.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-u-OkE0J23JY/UqUgTw2umjI/AAAAAAAAHUo/jwkmFQTCIH8/s320/DSC05144.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Real Men Go 24*7 Body Wash - $16<br />The body wash had a nice citrus smell to it. It lathered up great in the loofah and I felt great after using it. A little bit goes a long way, which makes the bottle I got last quite some time. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
American Crew- Alternator - $15</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Alternator is a fancy word for hairspray. Sprayed my hair with it, it stuck, even with water in my hair, it stayed put. I'm a fan of this product!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Benjo's Two Tone Laces - $11<br />When I looked online I saw that they had two colors available for these - orange and blue. I'm very glad I got the blue. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0G95b8M-BKE/UqUgXkZFo7I/AAAAAAAAHVM/VgFtWxYsWuQ/s1600/DSC05152.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0G95b8M-BKE/UqUgXkZFo7I/AAAAAAAAHVM/VgFtWxYsWuQ/s320/DSC05152.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Jonathan Alder Boot Socks - $16<br />These socks are cozy, and if you don't believe me, Dani had stolen them and worn them long before I could get a chance to. She liked them that much! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really like my Birchbox Man subscription. I get lots of great products each month, and get to try out things I never would have thought of. The brands are always high end brands and I like being able to try them out. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This week we had the terrible dilemma of Thanksgiving leftovers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Not only did we have leftovers from one Thanksgiving, but two! And on top of that, family and friends brought food by earlier that week since I had my surgery. Needless to say, we were leftover'd out!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted to make something that didn't taste like Thanksgiving, but took care of my leftovers at the same time, and this sure did the trick well.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lIgPUtLVAHY/Up1SBrkHTwI/AAAAAAAAHUM/LSKTjwANTqg/s1600/DSC05135.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lIgPUtLVAHY/Up1SBrkHTwI/AAAAAAAAHUM/LSKTjwANTqg/s400/DSC05135.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
What You'll Need:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Turkey meat (white is best)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 stalks celery</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 medium carrots</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cans cream of chicken soup ( & 2 cans water)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup milk</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Wild Rice (1-2 cups)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Pepper to taste</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hIgR112Wnvw/Up1SBy4fH5I/AAAAAAAAHUQ/v36tp2OkhWE/s1600/DSC05141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hIgR112Wnvw/Up1SBy4fH5I/AAAAAAAAHUQ/v36tp2OkhWE/s400/DSC05141.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How to do it:</div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. In a large pot, start with your wild rice, cream of chicken soup, water and milk. Cook on medium to high heat</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Begin to prepare your veggies, dice the celery, cut the carrots, (add onions as desired) and lastly, add your turkey meat. Stir in veggies and continue to cook on medium to high heat.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Add some pepper to taste and cover soup, stirring occasionally. It'll take about 15 minutes for the rice to be soft and prepared. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. Serve with some leftover Thanksgiving rolls and enjoy! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
If you follow me on other social networks, it is no news that I am alive and well. On <a href="http://instagram.com/emtdani">Instagram</a>, I've been posting photos since the day of surgery, and on <a href="https://twitter.com/ThisWorkmanLife">Twitter</a> I've been sharing quips of my life since the procedure. I'm hoping to get to blogging this week, but folks, I'm not promising anything.<br />
<br />
I did want to post an update and write about the experience! It was unlike anything I've ever experienced - but in a good way!<br />
<br />
The day of surgery went so incredibly well. I knew all the anesthesiologists and the resident working with my surgeon was so meticulous and educated that all my fears were calmed. They talked me and my dad, who accompanied me there, through the procedure, let me know what to expect and talked to me about everything I'd need to know.<br />
<br />
The hardest part was convincing them that I would not need a narcotic pain medication post-op.<br />I know, I know, they need to write one to everybody to cover their bases. I know, most people just take the meds and walk away. We had to convince the doctors that I wanted a low-count of Tramadol, and that I'd take tylenol otherwise. They tried to convince me that I would want stronger pain meds and with the holiday, I should just take them, but after the surgery, I didn't need them. Yay!<br />
<br />
The bra they put you in after surgery is totally hideous. The nurses assured me that no one would be able to see it under my clothes and that they've gotten better over the years. Guys, even my 82 year old grandma wouldn't wear this ugly thing. But luckily, I only had to wear it for 48 hours and then I was able to wear my own sports bras. Luckily, I still had some (and a nursing bra that didn't fit) and was able to just wear those, which was SO MUCH MORE FLATTERING!<br />
<br />
We had a small scare during and after the surgery. Some of the tissue wasn't appearing to "take", meaning that the blood flow wasn't returning to the area after the sutured everything back up. The doctors were able to use a nitro paste to open up blood flow the the area, which meant that in turn, everything was fine...however, all that blood flow has made the area incredibly bruised. It looks gnarly, not going to lie.<br />
<br />
Sooo, some numbers for those of you who want to see results (I will post photos when the swelling is all the way down).<br />Pre Op size: 36 H<br />Post Op size: 36 C<br />Lbs lost: 3 (650+ grams total)<br />
<br />
The only downside to this whole thing was a massive stomach flu that hit yesterday. Try tossing cookies with stitches in your chest. It sucks.<br />Otherwise, I am lying low (well, as low as I can, I suck at being a patient), healing and trying to catch up to everything I've been doing. Hopefully I'll be back to posting nail art, DIY's and recipes soon!<br />
<br />
Hope you're all doing well!Bubba and Dani Workmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04285725922514836391noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2705327190043055947.post-39221283511803957262013-11-29T04:00:00.000-07:002013-11-29T04:00:00.999-07:00FF: Pizza Rolls<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'll be the first to admit my family is full of pizza-holics. That being said, when I found this recipe, I got really excited to try it out, knowing how much my boys would love it!</div>
