Grandpa Beannie has guessed the gender of all of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids correctly, except for two (thats alot of babies!). He took a guess at what we are having and his prediction is....
A boy.
Grandma Trudy also gave her prediction...
A girl.
Five weeks until our sonogram, so we will see who wins!

Grandpa Cory's 50th Birthday

I had no idea my nephew was such a photographer, but he got a hold of my camera and we got to see the world through the eyes of a seven year old. I do love the photoshoot between Bubba and our nephew, so cute!

Grandma Diana's 70th Birthday!
Yesterday we celebrated my Grandma Diana's 70th Birthday! We went to Bennihana's for dinner (and unfortunately I actually read the sign and respected the no-photography request, so I got no photos), and returned to Grandma's house for a 50's theme birthday party of Soda-fountain drinks, cake, ice cream and dancing!
It was definitley lots of fun and nice to see the family. Grandma and Grandpa were both very lively, cracking jokes, making us laugh and creating fantastic memories!
Bubba and I could not come up with anything to give her, so we gave her what every grandparent wants- PHOTOS! She was so excited to have gotten a copy of our babys ultrasound and immediately started to brag about it. It made me feel so good!
Happy Birthday Grandma! I love you!

Baby Appointment #2, Part Two
We got our ultrasound done today, however, it was super-blurry so I won't be able to post it.
Here's why it was blurry:
We have a VERY bouncy, wiggly, active baby!
When we got the ultrasound we only had enough time for her to explain what was what (head, rump, arms, legs) and for us to see the heartbeat flutter before the baby started bouncing all over the place. It was ADORABLE. She tried to position me and the baby so we could hear a heartbeat, but the little peanut of ours would not hold still long enough! We did get to hear lots of "wusshies" as he jumped, causing the fluid to fly past instead of a heartbeat.
After seeing a few minutes of fetal aerobics we got to see the baby stretch out, stretching out long, arms above the head, before going back to bouncing. It was by far, the cutest thing I could have ever imagined seeing on an ultrasound.
This is definitley a healthy baby.
We go back in three weeks to get another ultrasound, and two weeks after that we do a sonogram to find out the gender. We are both super-duper excited!

Baby Appointment #2
Today we are going in for our second (well technically 3-4th appointment) for the baby! (I consider going to my PCP for labs as one, the first OBGYN visit as #2, the dildo-cam as #3 and this will be #4!) I am approximately 11 1/2 weeks along and cannot wait for another ultrasound so I can see our baby!
Not looking forward to all the other stuff, labs (if any), urinalysis, and all the fun odds and ends in between. :P We are hoping that we can find out the gender - but are both VERY realistic that we may have to wait, although we don't want to.
I'll post a photo when we get one!

the Workman Family reunion
Yesterday was the Workman family reunion! It was seriously so much fun and I am so bummed I couldn't capture a photo of every single moment of it!
We arrived early in the morning, barely after nine in the morning, and made it to the ranch. It was a beautiful cloudless day!
First thing was first, the boys (meaning my husband and brother in law) had to try out the playground. They had lots of fun and shared with my nephew, who seemed to enjoy it as much as the older boys did.
They had lots of crafts and things to do, including building rockets for the boys (made of paper and the tip is made of the sponge from water weenies), making Lei's for the girls. The boys were able to shoot off their rockets into the field. It was lots of fun to watch Bubba help our nephew make his and shot it off multiple times.
The Lei's were lots of fun to make, we used crepe paper, straw bits and fruit loops. They turned out super cute!
The boys also competed in the annual Workman horseshoes competition. The brackets began at 9 a.m. and people competed all day long. It was lots of fun to watch and see (and since I have never even PLAYED horseshoes, I had to learn the rules, which was entertaining.)
The boys were hilarious to watch as they played and photographing their style was hilarious. Bubba tosses like he bowls, my mother in law looks like a ballerina, and most the older guys would stand straight up, and toss with no style at all, making it even more difficult to photograph, let alone figure out how they were so good.
We even let my nephew learn how to play! His dad competed in the final four while uncle Bubba taught him how to toss the horseshoes. He did try to cheat lots, and kept moving the "easy toss" stick closer to the pit. It was funny to watch him toss and learn, and lots of fun to see him toss like his grandma, one arm out and his leg extending behind him.

That night we had a Luau for dinner and had lots of fun enjoying traditional Hawaii'an food, listening to music and we even had traditional dancers come in to preform for us, to show us how to do some of the dances and even invited us to preform for each other.
The greatest moment of the evening was watching the guys do the stomp and try to intimidate the family. They tried so hard not to laugh at themselves, and trying not to laugh was so painful.
We also had a family dance called "Fruit Salad". The girls shook their hips, showing how to make a fruit salad. The men's part was to try to hide the fruit salad recipie from the rest of the world. Not going to lie, I can't decide whether it was hilarious or scary.

A Birthday Bash (Saturday Night)
Last night we celebrated Bubba's 23rd Birthday with my family. I am the luckiest girl ever that my family adores him as much as I do!
My parents came by to pick us up for the Real Salt Lake game and surprised him with a soccer cake and some gifts. Bubba, being the victim of many jokes received one of them as a gift: re-gifted soap that I had given my mom.
He did receive an awesome gift from my dad, it was a new RSL jersey (his other one was fitting funny). It was originally a call-up jersey, meaning that they didn't have the "Xango" printed across the front. My dad convinced the gals at the RSL team store to print the Xango across the front and put Fabian Espindola's name and number on the back. Bubba LOVED it!
We went to Spaghetti Mama's before the game and enjoyed awesome Italian food. Dad took photos from dinner (I posted one of them here) and we enjoyed great conversation with my parents. It was great!
We headed over to the RSL game where we watched them play against the Columbus Crew. We didn't win, but it was still a great night and a great game of defense played by RSL.
After the game we got home and enjoyed the delicious birthday cake and a few rounds of Halo Reach with friends. It was a fantastic day! Thanks for everything guys, Bubba loved it!
