Real Games!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately. I have been terrible about posting anything, let alone remembering to bring my camera so I can take photos for the blog!

Time to catch up! What have you missed? Nothing much besides lots of RSL games!

RSL played at home twice and now on the road twice and are in the middle of a four-game winning streak. We are also ranked #3 in the nation, securing a spot for us in the MLS cup Championships. We attended both home games and had a BLAST!

Bear Lake Trip!

On Thursday we went up to Bear Lake for the day as part of our vacation. Bubba hadn't been since he was a child and going every year was something we used to do growing up. The drive was perfect and easy, little to no traffic and the only other tourists were the elderly people on tour busses... we had the city to ourselves!

We checked out the marina, enjoyed feeding the fish off the docks and enjoyed our snacks as we sat on the rocks. We checked out Minnetonka cave and were in a tour of seven, a mother-son duo, two sisters in their fifties and a 78-year-old lady who just wanted to check it out. It was so much fun (I wish our guide let me take photos!)

We ate a lunch of sandwhiches and Bear Lake Rasberry shakes and enjoyed the cool weather before heading back home. It was a fantastic day and I am so glad Bubba and I were able to get out, even if it was for a little while!

Baby Prediction: Grandpa Beannie

Grandpa Beannie has guessed the gender of all of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids correctly, except for two (thats alot of babies!). He took a guess at what we are having and his prediction is....
A boy.

Grandma Trudy also gave her prediction...

A girl.
Five weeks until our sonogram, so we will see who wins!

Grandpa Cory's 50th Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Grandpa Cory's 50th birthday! We had lots of fun enjoying a delicious dinner of chicken crepes by Grandma Terrie, enjoying lots of laughs and a delicious rasberry cheesecake dessert.

I had no idea my nephew was such a photographer, but he got a hold of my camera and we got to see the world through the eyes of a seven year old. I do love the photoshoot between Bubba and our nephew, so cute!

Grandma Diana's 70th Birthday!

Yesterday we celebrated my Grandma Diana's 70th Birthday! We went to Bennihana's for dinner (and unfortunately I actually read the sign and respected the no-photography request, so I got no photos), and returned to Grandma's house for a 50's theme birthday party of Soda-fountain drinks, cake, ice cream and dancing!

It was definitley lots of fun and nice to see the family. Grandma and Grandpa were both very lively, cracking jokes, making us laugh and creating fantastic memories!

Bubba and I could not come up with anything to give her, so we gave her what every grandparent wants- PHOTOS! She was so excited to have gotten a copy of our babys ultrasound and immediately started to brag about it. It made me feel so good!

Happy Birthday Grandma! I love you!

Baby Appointment #2, Part Two

We got our ultrasound done today, however, it was super-blurry so I won't be able to post it.
Here's why it was blurry:

We have a VERY bouncy, wiggly, active baby!
When we got the ultrasound we only had enough time for her to explain what was what (head, rump, arms, legs) and for us to see the heartbeat flutter before the baby started bouncing all over the place. It was ADORABLE. She tried to position me and the baby so we could hear a heartbeat, but the little peanut of ours would not hold still long enough! We did get to hear lots of "wusshies" as he jumped, causing the fluid to fly past instead of a heartbeat.

After seeing a few minutes of fetal aerobics we got to see the baby stretch out, stretching out long, arms above the head, before going back to bouncing. It was by far, the cutest thing I could have ever imagined seeing on an ultrasound.

This is definitley a healthy baby.

We go back in three weeks to get another ultrasound, and two weeks after that we do a sonogram to find out the gender. We are both super-duper excited!

Baby Appointment #2

Today we are going in for our second (well technically 3-4th appointment) for the baby! (I consider going to my PCP for labs as one, the first OBGYN visit as #2, the dildo-cam as #3 and this will be #4!) I am approximately 11 1/2 weeks along and cannot wait for another ultrasound so I can see our baby!

Not looking forward to all the other stuff, labs (if any), urinalysis, and all the fun odds and ends in between. :P We are hoping that we can find out the gender - but are both VERY realistic that we may have to wait, although we don't want to.

I'll post a photo when we get one!
