Sunday Confessions

1. I didn't want to post anything about my biopsy, but my husband encouraged me to do it.

Truth be told, its one of the better blogging decisions I've made. I've gotten such amazing feedback from family and friends in the process of it, and shockingly no one was upset I didn't tell them in person.
Now for the awkward part? Its my most recent post, so my new followers get to see photos of my chest as their first impression of me. I'm so classy.

2. My son's ability to move around the house scares me to death.

He can army crawl, (complete with the sound effects of "hut hut hut"), crawl normally on his knees for a few moments and is walking a few steps at a time now. He gets into EVERYTHING as is, making naptime the most glorious part of my days.

3. Did you know I used to be a medi-blogger?

Yep. I used to blog about medicine, my job and the life lessons I learned at work. It was so Grey's Anatomy Fabulous and I met so many amazing people while doing it, including some of my best friends, who are coming over tonight with Fall dessert goodness.

Utes? RSL?
4.  I haven't watched any of my sports teams play in weeks.
School is kicking my butt and I'm falling behind in everything.

5. Being a mommy is awesome. Being pregnant wasn't so awesome for me.

I see all these bloggers posting about how much fun being pregnant was. For me, it wasn't.
I threw up every. single. day. until two weeks AFTER delivery.
I was on bed rest from week seventeen until week thirty, and back on bed rest from week thirty two until week thirty seven when I delivered the little dude.
Food aversions weren't bad, but the smells were horrible. I could barely go to work most days.
I didn't even look pregnant until I was eight months along, and Bubba (thankfully for me) gained most of my pregnancy weight. We have photo comparisons proving that he had a bigger belly than me at six months.
Looking back over it, I probably shouldn't do it again. But we all know I probably will, it was worth it.

  1. I like this kind of post! Maybe I'll try it! And I don't mind your biopsy post being the first time I read your blog. I find "real" very endearing, and makes me feel a connection right away. When I read about your jokes to the Dr. I knew you were a cool chick!

  2. Sorry to hear that you've now got to face the waiting for the result of the biopsy - it's better having one, than not and then being too late if there is a problem. I've been there - so, will keep you in my prayers. Strangers' ones work as well as family and close friends!

Just visiting you via Danielle's Sunday blog hop. Just to lighten the atmosphere, why not call round at We'd all love to see you, and it may help to pass the time! Good luck - and I'll be following to hear the nest stage!

  3. Following from Mom's Monday Mingle!
    Follow back? :)

  4. Stopping by via the Monday Mingle. I liked this post. I think I will have to do one myself if you don't mind me using the image above. I too had a rough pregnancy. With my first I lost 20 pounds in a week due to vomiting. Zofran lived in my veins so I could function. I even needed IV nutrition. It was rough.

  5. I hated being pregnant, too! It was awful for me. I was nauseous for 9 months straight, nothing helped! But you're right, the end result was worth it :)

  6. I probably would have hated being pregnant too if I had to go through all of that. Thanks for your fun confessions! I found you via the mingle and am your newest follower!

  7. Dude. I think I've just had a really lucky pregnancy so far, and everyone tells me the 1st trimester is the hardest, so I feel like I'm in the clear. I think the only reason I've had it so easy is because God knows how much of a wuss I am. :)

Thanks for linking up, sorry I'm just now visiting.
