What I Wore Wednesday

Thanks to my awesome husband for being willing to photograph me!

If there is one thing I hate it is women who say you cannot look cute in scrubs- so I want to showcase hair, makeup and jewelry ideas to make you not only look cute at work, but how to do it and stay within the dress code that many places of employment have. Not only that, but I'm willing to show you how to do it on a budget!

Scrubs: Grey's Anatomy Brand (in Charcoal) set $20
Earrings: Claires $1
Bracelets: made by me
Tank (grey and white stripes) $3 Wal-Mart

I LOVE the Grey's Anatomy scrubs. Not only are they super cute- but they are made of a different fabric that is softer so it is REALLY comfortable to work in.  They also have a drawstring front with total elastic waistband- so you don't EVER peek-a-boo in the back when you bend over (a total must when working in healthcare!).

Now for the hairdo. It only took ten minutes to do - here's how:

With dry hair (I straighten and dry mine for best results) tease the top of your head and the sides. Brush back to tone down and after pulling two parts forward from each side (for the braids), pull back into a ponytail. Braid sides and tuck into the elastic.

Take the ponytail and divide into two parts. Take the top part and loop upwards and into the ponytail. Pin into place. Take the bottom and loop downwards into the ponytail.

I kept some of the strands loose and falling out because I didn't mind and thought it looked cute. Hairspray and pin into place as needed.
